Burke & Hare Tea Towel

Our Burke & Hare design is from 'Local Heroes… (& Villains)' by Gillian Kyle in collaboration with young Scottish illustrator Clare Forrest. 

Burke & Hare, the infamous 19th century grave robbers, weren’t heroes but their story has inspired tales, songs and even movies over the years – real proper folklore. Clare has captured the devious and terrifying nature of their business in her silhouetted drawing of them sneaking along the closes (narrow streets) of Edinburgh’s old town!
